10 Ten Boating States by Boating Industry

How come NJ is not on the list??? There are more boaters in NJ than DE, MN, or MI... NJ is the Rodney Danerfield of the US, we get no respect...

Thanks for the link, Stephen.

Not true Four Sons.

Lake Moultrie in SC, has intercoastal

access thru locks heading south down to the ICW.

Beautiful waterfront homes w/ year round boating.

I'll post a picture of me house in 295 days when we

retire!

"HEY, IT AIN'T EASY BEING US"

rcknecht,

I'm still gettin' NO RESPECT in New York!

Not true Four Sons.

I got it from the link... So what's not true? That the magazine/web site/survey is for recreational trailer boats even though they say it is?

Selective reading... you probably believe in global warming.

(and it's intRAcoastal... not intercoastal)

They are "undocumented" trailer boaters.

But now AZ a new law where the police can stop you in your boat and make you prove that it is documented... I you can't prove that your boat is documented, it gets sent back to the state where it was built...

Sounds like boat profiling to me.

I think Florida also ranks number 1 in trailer homes too. Good place to make trailer stuff.

From the article...
"Here are the top ten boating states, ranked in order by total annual expenditures for new powerboats, motors, trailers and accessories in 2009 , including popular on-the-water destinations from Discover Boating:Here are the top ten boating states, ranked in order by total annual expenditures for new powerboats, motors, trailers and accessories in 2009 , including popular on-the-water destinations from Discover Boating"

I wonder what their definition of "NEW" is? Does that include only new (previously unsold) boats or does it include "new to us" boats/trailers, etc.

If it's only NEW, I wonder how much those figures are skewed by the sales of large powerboats in states like FL.
