just got a nice clean 180 Sport -- i love it. onlly ran it one time and i really want to start getting a slight stereo upgrade.

i saw a deal online and purchased the Bazooke 8" powered sub -- but the stereo is weak (no mp3 or aux port for ipod) -- and i really would like to have a remote if possible.

show me your pics on your 180's --- or ideas or any comments please.

i also wanted to add 2 more speaker (stock only comes iwth 2) -- but dont know if thats possible -- i guess anything is.

and of course, looking at the ideas of adding another battery so i can listen to all the stereo and not worry about starting it up again ...

-thanks guys.

We have a 97 175 BR and purchased the Pyle PL97M4 for it. It has 80x4 watts and has AUX, SD, and USB inputs. It does not have a CD player but we use a portable CD player thru the AUX port. It also has a remote that comes in handy cause we like to go and anchor at boater's beach in NW Indiana for our partying and it was a drag having to get in and out of the boat to make changes of the stereo. It is a low cost stereo but many people that have heard it could not believe that it did not have a booster. I have a booster and woofer sitting in the garage for it but have not found the need as of yet to install.

I mounted the box speakers in the back to the horizontal board that I found under the gunwales and have two others that I am making enclosures for mounting under the dash.

The link below will take you to Amazon to show you the stereo we purchased. Good luck!

I changed out everything in our 2006. I replaced the old Clarion with a Kenwood KMR440U receiver. I liked it because it has both AUX & USB inputs on the front of the face. it also has complete IPod control and can read a thumb drive if you don’t want to bring your IPod. We also installed the KCA-RC60MR remote. It’s the cheaper of the two Kenwood remotes, but it works great. We also replaced the two factory speakers with Kicker KM6000 and installed two new Kickers at the Bow. The four new Kickers sound awesome!! I have always liked kicker products. This set up is plenty loud, but I do plan to install a new amp and tower speakers in the future. You can hear the music pretty good at the end of the rope, but that means its really loud in the boat. :wow: Guess I’m starting to get old….

I don’t have any pics handy, but could take some if would help
