Hello, I have an 04' 240 Sundeck that I had out this weekend. I almost always tow with the covers on, but this time we were in a rush so I didn't put them on. Got home and saw the engine cover up, and I lost one of my seat cushions. Drove the road back and it was no where to be found. I want to purchase a new replacement through my dealer, but the initial answer I got was that SeaRay wont make a seat new seat cushion for any boats over 5 years old. My boat is immaculate and looks brand new, it's making me sick that I lost the cushion :smt021:smt021. My dealer is going to make another call to SeaRay to se if they can get one made for me or get a pattern or something. I'm trying to be proactive here and see if anyone else has gone through this or knows of another source in case my dealer can't get one for me. I'm really surprised that SeaRay would stop having availability on something like this after only 5 years???? Does anyone know if the seats are the same in later years, or when they made a design change? In case it matters this is the seat on the port side of the boat just behind the bucket seat (boat has the twin captains bucket seat layout). Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

Dave

Dave a skilled marine upholstery shop should be able to duplicate the cushion. A new “exact” match might not be as close as you expect with sun fade. I had 25 year old cushions replicated and visitors couldn’t tell which were 25 years old versus new. Ask for referrals in your area.

I had the exact same thing happen the day I bought the boat... that was a bad day. We had it replaced at the time and I never trailered with the covers off again.
That seat didn't change design until 2009 - I think. What did change was the vinyl color. I would go back and ask searay what year it changed and see if they will make you a 2006 seat with that 2004 vinyl...That vinyl color was on a lot of the models for some time. They might be able to cross referance it

The first day we took our 175 BR out we lost a cushion somewhere in ocean... The dealer gave us a new one, but the boat was brand new... My wife is making some new cushion for our current boat. The key is to get the matching vinyl. She got some samples from a manufacture to match the texture and color...

Hello... hey I am hoping you can help me. I have a 04 sundeck 220 and the same seat cushion blew off. I was able to retrieve the tatterd remains of the freeway but was wondering if you had any luck at all with sea ray making a new one or finding vinyl that would match. Im in Boise and there is no matching vinyl to be found anywhere. Any help would be greatly apprecieated. Cheers

I lost one while trailering as well. It disintegrated on the Baltimore beltway just before we are about to take it on vacation!

I lost the port side cushion behind the passenger's captain chair. I need a complete replacement. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help.

Morbern was the OEM vinyl supplier on mine & many other Sea Ray products. Start there. Get the Sea Ray coulour number/name from the parts book.
I was able to source some NOS fabrics for mine last year. Kind of a funky beige/yellow blend.
Search for suppliers on-line & call them, get sample swatches sent out.
Colour samples on the laptop don't necessarily agree with what you see in hand.

Thanks - I've contacted Bristol. These are the two parts referenced in the parts manual for the cushion. Unfortunately, my dealer informed me of the 5 year policy for vinyl. He said the newer models through '09 don't have the same color.

The part number or colour number/name may differ between Morbern & Sea Ray. White Creme vinyl fabric may the their P/N 1234. Sea ray may call it Oyster White P/N 6789.
Bristol was able to find both colours for mine which is from '01 & probably a less popular colour scheme.
Patience is the key word in your search.
"Something" tells me they may be members/sponsors here........colud be a memory fade too!

thanks - for anyone else who might be in this situation, I've found the vinyl at Bristol Upholstery (Nickel and Stinger Cream) and I'm having the cushion made locally. In Baltimore, I'm using Parkville Canvas (Steve) - recommended by my local MarineMax. Seems to be a good guy to work with.

Thanks,
Stephen
