Old ZF/Hurth transmission
Hi, Quick question. My old transmission on my 1989 Merc 454 I think is low on oil but I just need to know when I put the dipstick in should I screw it all the way in and than measure it or just put it in and pull it out without threading it in. Rusted and broken Dipstick tube on a 3.0LX gas engine

Oil dipstick on a 260
Hi Just upgraded from a 2004 200 Sport to a 2007 260 Sundancer. Quick question; is the dipstick on the 260 secured by a thredded cap? I cant seem to get it out. I dont want to apply excessive force until I get some feedback regarding what NOT to do Tx- Nick31
