Hi All,
After searching the threads here, I'm posting to see if there may be further info available from the members.
2003 260 Sundancer.
I'm getting a "reversed polarity" red light on my interior panel when I plug into shore power.
I'm headed out to get a polarity meter to check the power from...
After changing out the batteries this morning, started my 2003 Sundancer 260 Mercruiser 5.0 MPI up. Observing the engine, noticed a streaming leak of water pissing out from the lower starboard side. I have included photos.
It looks like a circular hole about an 1/8" wide
About the size of a...
2003 260 Sundancer. I'll be replacing both SRM 27 deep cycle Interstate batteries and would like advice on what to replace them with. Stay with the same or other good possibilities?
Thanks in advance.
2003 Sundancer 260. Still on the blocks. Looks like I have a leaky trim pump hose, there's a milky fluid in the reservoir. I drained and refilled and the trim pump worked for a bit but I could observe fluid dripping out of the transom drain hole. Now to find out where the leak is and which hose...
Some of this may be anecdotal but from what I'm seeing at the Jersey shore and from several conversations at the marina, it appears that there may well be a record number of folks looking to sell at the end of this season and they are willing to take a considerable amount less than they would...
Just an observation, but here at the Jersey shore the marinas are full of boats in the slips but darn few are being taken out for cruises, fishing etc as in years past.
Just this evening (Friday 6/17) there normally would have been a plethora of boats in the Shark River inlet positioned to watch...
The chatter at the marina and also anedoctally confirmed by local for sale listings is that it seems that the asking prices of used boats in the NJ shore area are down a bit.
The price of fuel and the end of Covid restrictions are playing into this.
I'm seeing listings for circa 1995 to 2005 Sea...
I was reading another thread about replacing the rubrail and thought I would share what I did when my previous boat, a 1984 Sea Ray 225 Cuddy, needed to have the chewed up rubrail replaced.
After pricing out a new one, I couldn't justify going for over $1000 dollars due to the age of the boat...
Just back from this show. I was mightily dismayed. 98 percent of the boats were these ghastly center consoles with little or no cabins. They were like open plastic tubs with numerous mammoth outboards affixed to them. No character at all and even worse, no areas of shade except for the hardtop...
Thinking about installing a couple of the Typhon lights in blue on the transom as in the youtube video. $49.00 bucks. Your thoughts welcome. Thanks in advance
