I am replacing the Stayput Fasteners on the rear of my canvas cover. Has anyone else done that recently or know which length bungee to get. I the length offered in 6 5/8 and 8”. It’s a 2006 240 Sundeck.
I was thinking more like this. I have a Bimini top for the cockpit but wanted the ability to add shade to the front when needed. The umbrella was on sale at Costco and not purpose built. I was imagining something like in this photo.
I bought a beach umbrella with the intent to modify it and the bow table to create shade on the bow of the boat. I saw a picture somewhere of it being done but can’t seem to find it again. I was planning on using a hole saw just slightly larger than the diameter of the umbrella pole to drill out...
I second the box anchor. Always holds. Only downside is that it seems to bring up half the bottom if you are anchored in mud and is a little awkward to bring back over the bow without hitting the side.
How much is out of the water when loading? I got the boat last summer and still trying to find the sweet spot when loading and hoping the guides will help with that plus wind and river current.
Looking at adding guide-ons to my boat trailer. Anyone that uses them have a recommendations for height? They seem to come in 40”, 60” and 75”. Boat is a 2006 240 Sundeck.
I’ve thought about it but have read mixed reviews. We used to be river rats and spent most our time on the river. My wife no longer enjoys hanging out in the sparkling blue waters of the Mississippi and we now spend most the time at the lake where we don’t beach.
Recently purchased a new to me boat. Second Sea Ray, first was a 1996 175, which was a little crowded with 5 people and a dog. Upgraded to a 2006 240 Sundeck and so far I couldn’t be happier. Reading all the past posts from other owners steered me in the direction of the Sundeck, thank you.
