Great news..a little sweat equity, and I am back in business...replaced both solenoids for $32 yesterday, and works like a charm...Thanks for all of the advice...actually did not remove the pump, 'rebuilt' the solenoid unit at home, and just wiggled in and out a bit through the battery and...

Prop will not trim up after winterization

I came really close to taking the whole unit out yesterday but was fearful of disconnecting the hydraulic lines and leakage...so I did the contortionist thing and took just the solenoid assembly off...which was a real pain...when I reconnect it next week, I will reassemble like you suggest out...

Prop will not trim up after winterization

UPDATE: I put the boat on the rack today, and with it very quiet, I could here the "up" solenoid click when I pushed the button, but no pump noise, when I pushed down, I could here the 'down' solenoid click and the pump activate (but obviously, it can't go any further down....I then switched...

Prop will not trim up after winterization

Well, finally got the boat in the water yesterday, and the prop is indeed stuck in the lower position...pushing the 'raise' buttons at the stern and cockpit makes no sound at all...pushing the 'lower' buttons makes an odd mechanical sound (hard to describe)...and now I found out my marina no...

Prop will not trim up after winterization

Thanks everyone- I suspect the low battery is the culprit, but won't know until I crank the engine for the first time when she is in the water...was just making sure there was not the possibility of something more sinister awaiting me...I have done no charging to the battery this season, only...

Prop will not trim up after winterization

Once again I am back, as this forum is amazingly helpful: I have the service department at our dry storage marina do the winterization for me (Oil change/fogging, etc.)and just like in years past, I 'dewinterize' it in the Spring. That being said, the boat was placed on the rack as usual and I...

How many blue drain plugs are there supposed to be?

In the past I have asked that when they winterize my boat, that they do the oil change at that time and other work, so that come spring time, all I have to do is replace the blue plugs and head out. That being said, I have had a brain fart this year and can't remember how many there are supposed...

    Sporadic speaker 'pop' on stereo??

I have a 2006 240 Sundeck...just recently the stereo will randomly make a pop sound, similar to when you plug in a jack to the aux plug, but this occurs from all sources when it is on, ie. radio, ipod plugged into aux, etc....it occurs even if the boat is not moving and is completely still...the...

Do they make a plug for floor table mount on 240SD?

I had given this a thought as an option, but was not sure were it would drain to, very glad you mentioned the fuel tank!!!Assume no issues letting water go through them and below? I am curious why Sea Ray did not have a hole in them in the first place for drainage, only thing I can figure is...
