Hey guys, I usually don't stir up older threads, but I'm very familiar with the setup on Northerly Island. I'm on EF dock at Burnham Harbor which is (literally) right behind the concert stage.
If you check out the satellite imagery on Google Maps and reference the quick "key" I built and...
I have a (new) Norcold over/under freezer/fridge, model looks to be DE-0061/EV-0061. The freezer has accumulated (excessive) frost. A penguin could build a habitat in there. Pic to come when I get back to the boat this weekend, but any ideas how to limit this buildup?
Wow. Sucks. What a poor design. I would usually fill up a boat upon hitting the 1/4 mark but in this case that would mean almost a constant need to fill the tank.
The issue is, I don't want to "get used to" the tank basically always reading 1/4 until it reads empty. Because of the L-shaped design the level indicator markings don't equally represent each increment of capacity.
I've realized the fresh water tank on the 48 dancers is "L" shaped and with the sensor on the very top my level indicator is dropping from full to 3/4 after only a few gallons of use, and then from 3/4 to 1/2 and subsequently to 1/4 after only small usages of water. So for most of the tank's...
I just put a 10" bazooka tube under my rear U-lounge. Seems to compliment the 10" JL that I put in the factory location on my 48 well. It's the only non-JL component I've used. The two are powered by the M400/4. Lots of bump even with the gain set at a fairly low/mid level (which is a good...
LOL. Thanks (I think). One of my concerns in buying such a high-end cooler is the idea that it might end up "walking away". Seems like it could be a theft target.
Anyone have any 'recent' experience with these? I'm looking at 94 or 150qt option. Good sale going on at WM right now. Hear mixed reviews online re: their performance, ice keeping ability, fit & finish, etc.
I know Yeti is good and all the craze but do I really need to spend 4-5x to ice down...
I don't know about the rest of you, but I cannot say enough good things about JL Audio. I just finished installing (4) M770's and (1) M10 sub in my cockpit. I'm pushing those speakers (plus another 10" bazooka tube hidden under the rear U-lounger) with their M800/8 amp.
All I can say is...
I think the usefulness of a backup camera will vary from boat-to-boat. The boat itself (meaning how/where you can install it), the quality of the camera, the MFD, etc will all have an effect. I undermounted a Raymarine CAM220 to the hardtop of my 48DA and I am very pleased with the outcome. The...
Do you have or can you find a SmartCraft Junction Box on your boat? From my experience are usually behind the helm panel.
My 48DA has a 6-port model with an open/empty port I was able to use for this mod. I know there are also 4-port models available.
Word of caution... Do some research...
I have the 44lb Delta on my 48. Works very well. Your 40 should be fine with the 35lb version. I have the stainless model which will last 'forever', mud from the bottom cleans off of it more easily, and it looks great.
Also, I did quite a bit of anchor research recently as I was replacing...
Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread
As I understand it through my research, there are some nuances to using these adapters, i.e. certain buttons like mute might not work, the remote's LCD screen may not light up, etc. I'm going through a...
Short answer is no. I'm curious to know what you're looking to power with an inverter? In my experience running any real/serious AC loads only really works from a genny.
I tore the whole thing apart today and couldn't find anything. Would you be able to take a pic of yours and send/post? That way I could easily replicate what looks like was missed during the build of my boat.
Thanks,
Ryan
I'm tearing into the electronics on my 48DA and found this beauty of technology mounted under the helm. Does anyone know what it does? If it's needed? How it works? etc.
Thanks,
Ryan
