Installed a subwoofer !!

Thanks, now you got me looking on Amazon for a sub for my boat........................

Installed a JL 12" W7 AE with a JL HD 750/1 amp to drive it. I fabricated a ported box with the appropriate sq/ft for the sub and a support, cut the top out of the cockpit bench seat and reinforced the hole with a stainless plate under the seat. Vented the sub out the back between the seat cushion and backrest. The sub weighs 52#. Added to JL HD 600/4 to drive drive 8 JL 7.7's and 4 JL m100's in billet pods around the cockpit of my 400.

I'd love to see pics of this

Yep, and thanks

I don't know...seems like you need more speakers.

(jealousy aside: that is a nice install. beautiful work.)

I don't know about the rest of you, but I cannot say enough good things about JL Audio. I just finished installing (4) M770's and (1) M10 sub in my cockpit. I'm pushing those speakers (plus another 10" bazooka tube hidden under the rear U-lounger) with their M800/8 amp.

All I can say is... WOW. What a difference over the 10-year old factory stuff.

I also added a pair of the M880's in tower enclosures bridged off of an M400/4 amp to the radar arch pointing forward to entertain the bow.

Worth. Every. Cent.

Now I all I need is for the snow to melt so that I can hit the water!

Yes, I really like the JL stuff too. Like I said, the 12" W7 sub I have weighs 52 lbs. that is some significant engineering. In addition, their website is very useful and the even respond quickly to email questions. Generally, the same day. Top notch in my book. I have a Hummer H2 I am thinking about building a system in and I have thought about giving Focal a shot, but I am so impressed with JL I don't think I can do it.

Same

I just put a 10" bazooka tube under my rear U-lounge. Seems to compliment the 10" JL that I put in the factory location on my 48 well. It's the only non-JL component I've used. The two are powered by the M400/4. Lots of bump even with the gain set at a fairly low/mid level (which is a good thing.) Pics to come soon.
