I change my oil in the lower unit last night. I only got a little over a quart out and I was only able to pumo the same amount back in before it started coming out the top vent. I thought it held over 2 Qts?? Thats what I was told anyway?? :smt021

How many have done this themselves? Was it a hard job? Mine looks relatively simple. There is a lock nut back at the transom and then another on the rack where connects to steering wheel assembly. My steering is very bad and it is gonna get me in trouble if I dont replace it soon!!!

Its dead. Solenoids just click when try to go up or down. I put 12v straight to the motor and got nothing. Its an old, square body motor. I have found some on ebay for pretty cheap but they mention some possible "round adapter"? Mine is an Alpha I drive, Mercruiser. :huh:
