I just finished mounting the brackets onto the swim platform, however was wondering If I should be drilling another hole where the locking pin goes? Or will I be ok to just sit the pin in... The pin is there to hold on the main connection part of the weaver davits. Thanks!

Hi there, I have a 2000 5.0L EFI serial number OL619655. It currently has a mercury racing filter # 35-881126K01 on it from the last owner. I am sure thats not the OEM filter for this engine. I have read some info that you should not use a racing type filter for everyday cruising applications...
