I have a 98 400 sedan bridge and it looks like the starboard rudder shaft packing needs tightened. Having looked in there I can't imagine how one gets to it. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

My 98 400 sedan bridge has 2 switches. One for each bank of 2 batteries, one bank starts port engine and that's all it does. My carver had a BOTH position which allowed you to use all batteries to power the house. Why could I not hard wire all batteries together? I realize that all batteries...

My port side transmission is a larger housing on left side or outside than starboard unit. Is that the internals for the counter rotating part of it? Can't find anything on line to indicate two different or rotating boxes. Thanks.

Both engines idle at 750. Port shift into gear is harsher feeling than starboard. Not a big difference but noticeable. Both run same speed in gear at idle and no slippage up to planing speed. Anybody else notice this or am I just not used to a new boat? PS oil samples were done and came back good.

Haven't had boat long but I suspect primer pump handle has been out a long time,but no leaks. Put in and locked it and a run later saw it was out again. Still no leaks,should I just leave it alone? Thanks

I have a 98 sedan bridge 400 with cat diesels. In port side bildge between muffler and fuel tank is a small drain hose that dumps a small amount of water into bilge after a hard rain. Hose runs up port side hull turns forward goes over top of fuel tank where I can't follow it anymore. does...
