I also have the Promariner Flyback 20-3. Have chargers developed enough the last 10-15 years that these should be replaced regardless of any detected fault?
I am experiencing that my starter battery keeps dying on me so I am having some problem with overcharging or something. While trying to map out how this all is connected I encountered the battery disconnect relay. I am reading it is used to disconnect the battery banks, but isn't that what my...
I thought my ac pump had died on me so I replaced it only to find out there's no power from the cruisair AC going to the pump. Is there a fuse somewhere? What can cause this fault?
On a secondary note my AC fan seems to be off center making scratching noises. If I push on the AC module it...
I seem to have lost power on my shower pump under the step down into the cabin. I can't quite figure out where the wires are going - does anyone know where the other side of this cable is? It's a 270 Sundancer
My AC pump have died on me, and I am getting a new one. The label is so dated I cannot read it any longer. It is a 1999 270 Sundancer DA. Does anyone know the type of pump used?
Thanks for inputs. I'll have a pro have a look. The fiber glass here should be relatively thick so I don't think any inside work should be needed, but I have no expertise in this field.

I got a pretty deep scratch to my fiberglass this summer. Can I just apply gel coat to this and sand it down, or do I have to fill this with fiberglass somehow?
I'm getting the feeling that ripping out the carpet on the cabin floor, replacing that with wood, and leaving the rest as is might save me a lot of headache. I don't want to be halfways into this and start regretting..

I am considering recarpeting the cabin in my '99 270 Sundancer DA. Does anyone have the measurements for the carpets and suggestions about what type to get? I was thinking of using velcro attachments in the "walking area" to be able to replace this with time, but leave the rest glued on as...
Has anyone purchased the Mercury Active Trim system? I am curious to hear the price and extent of the installation work.

I cut out most of the fiberglass behind the dash to accommodate the screen and the new gauges. I added gauges for the water and holding tank. If you use a plate stiff enough you don't need the fiberglass behind except where the screws hold it in place. I think the new dash gives the cockpit a...
I recently replaced my old Bravo III transom with a new smartcraft enabled transom. After the installation, I am having to use the trailer trim switch to bypass the limiter in order to trim my drive up. Down is not a problem. Anyone had this problem? Are the new smartcraft transoms not...
Thanks, Jeff. I'll give them a call.
After reading up on this, it seems the port lights are re-bedded just using silicone and not a gasket between the window and the hull, but do you also change the gasket inside the port light that the screen is closed against when doing this operation?
I have noticed small leaks from several of my portholes including the deck window. I do not know which port lights these are as I don't have a parts manual for that boat. Does anyone know and where I can buy gaskets for these? I am hoping changing the gaskets will solve the problem. Any pointers...
Looks like there will be quite a bit of replacing to do. The bell and gimbal housing both took a beating so I will have to replace them leading me to just replace the whole transom. This boat is giving me a hard time this season!
The picture shows the inside of the bell housing after having...
Yes. It could be as simple as not having closed a porthole window and as difficult as a leak you can disassemble the entire boat to find. The portholes are notorious for eventually leaking. Leaks can also come from other sources. I wouldn't worry about it - they are relatively easy to replace...
That's a great boat. Is it the SE or DA version? They came in two widths, one trailerable and one not so much. Given how you have a generator I am going to presume it's a wider version. I have the wide one and have been very happy with mine. The hours are very low for a boat that old which is...
