Hi guys, One of my transmissions needs a bit more fluid; it's at the low fluid mark. The data plates indicate that engine oil cc or cd should be used. Both of these are now obsolete. My transmissions are Twin disc model MG5114 A. What do you guys use? Thanks, Brett

Hello again, My windlass gypsy has the following markings: 5/16, 8, and H.T. I'm assuming that this means my windlass is set up for 5/16" high tensile chain. Is the 8 a metric equvalent? The chain I've been running looks to be 3/8 inch but it seems to be working with the windlass just fine...

You guys are great. Contacted Sea Ray and they gave me some clues as to the location of the air pump. It happened to be behind an access panel inside one of the cabinets in the starboard head. Gave it some oil (as per this thread) and it works again. Yay. Had to buy new horns from Sea Ray cause...

Thanks for the info. Nice boat. It looks a lot like mine and you've got the same engines! My Caterpillar manual sez to put 2 different compounds on the threads, one on the brass cap outer threads, the other on the zinc threads. My local Caterpillar parts guy had no idea what I was talking about...
