Hi guys,
One of my transmissions needs a bit more fluid; it's at the low fluid mark. The data plates indicate that engine oil cc or cd should be used. Both of these are now obsolete. My transmissions are Twin disc model MG5114 A. What do you guys use?
Thanks,
Brett

Shell Rotella T1, SAE 10W, 30, 40 or 50 depending upon the transmission's viscosity requirements.

SAE CC and CD oil ratings have been superceded by CF.

You should be changing once a year based on what my owners manual says.
Others may have better recomendations.

Hey all. Got another question. Manual sez I should clean the strainer. To pull it out it looks like I need to screw a bolt into the cover and attempt to remove it by pulling on the bolt. Does this sound right? Before I go buy a bunch of various size bolts at Ace, does anyone know what the size bolt this is? Again the trannies are Twin Disc MG5114 A.
