Hi,
I've been troubleshooting my generator in my 380 DA for a while now. Typical start and run until you let go of the "preheat (sensor bypass)" switch. All the sensors and K1/K2 relays check out.
I had a specialist come out recently and he said that the CO detectors are wired to a relay that...
Thanks for the replies.
Weird stuff going on...
Voltage readings at batteries are around 14 volts. Reading at power-in and load sides of port and starboard solenoids is 14v when energized (shore power on). De-energizing the port side reads 14v in and 0v out. De-energizing the starboard side...
More information...
Batteries are in fact not dead. They measure 14 volts with the solenoid energized or not (not charging). The solenoid operates fine. Charger is sending 12 volts to the solenoid.
My problem therefore must be north of the batteries. Why would the house systems show zero volts...
Hi all. I am really frustrated... please read to the end so you understand the facts and I really hope someone can help me.
My starboard side batteries keep needing replacing. I paid the marina where we wintered to remove all the batteries and place the in dry storage, but they didn't.
We...
Hi,
I posted the below in the official 380 thread and all I got was sympathies. I'll try to summarize to see if anyone knows where I should start...
Configuration:
- 2000 380 DA with 2 port batteries (engine) and 2 starboard batteries that are new (engine and house)
Symptoms:
- On shore power...

Hi,
I need to replace my water heater in my 2000 380 Sundancer and measured it at about 11 x 11 x 13. I'm guessing that the dimensions for the common replacement 6 gallon heaters at 13 x 13 x 19 will fit, but was hoping someone can confirm.
Thanks,
Michael.
Hi,
I have two new 454 MAG MPI engines in my 380 and have developed an oil leak. The leak is from the hose fitting going into the oil filter hosing. Since I can't find an exact match to these hoses online I think I'm going to use braided stainless steel an make my own.
While searching for...
Hi,
I've purchased two NOS systems monitors over the past 4 years and both had the LCD display fail so you only see part of the text. Anyone know of an upgrade or alas, a source for yet another replacement?
Thanks.
No replies, but I think I figured it out and will post in the event it helps someone else. Basically, seawater will dissolve the adhesive used to join the abrasive material to the clutch disks. I have no friction in the box, thus no engagement. I don't know how long it takes to dissolve this...
Hi,
Just tried to launch today after weeks of wrestling with a broken spark plug, and now the starboard transmission won't engage forward or reverse.
The marina said they saw pink foam coming out of the exhaust when they pulled it in the fall, so I replaced the transmission cooler, drained...
Hi,
Our head won't flush all of a sudden. It's less than half full, the breaker is on, and the motor/bellows is operating constantly when activated. The bellows are new as of last year.
I reached in (yuck) and explored but found nothing at all. I also used the plunger (push only) and don't...
Hi,
I have a 2000 380 Sundancer and with a Glendenning engine synch setup. One of the cable ends to the center of the front pulley broke and I spent last season synchronizing the engines manually which was not a problem and added it to my project list.
The other day I noticed the starboard...
