Oil Hose Routing - 7.4 (454)

Hi,

I have two new 454 MAG MPI engines in my 380 and have developed an oil leak. The leak is from the hose fitting going into the oil filter hosing. Since I can't find an exact match to these hoses online I think I'm going to use braided stainless steel an make my own.

While searching for these I found the diagram below. My concern is that my hoses are routed differently - the inlet to the filter is coming from the block and the outlet is going to the oil cooler. Can someone please confirm the correct routing? I'm wondering if mine are backwards and could have actually caused the leak.

If your going to make up new hoses to eliminate those pesky leaks, do what I did and make them a little longer on the one motor so you can move the oil filter housing to the other side of the motor, so its on the inboard side and makes changing oil filter much easier.
