There is a cable that attaches to the battery threaded positive post with a wing nut. Make sure that it is connected. The first time I disconnected my battery, this cable fell behind the battery and I did not see it and forgot about it. It is the main power to your stereo.
Guys,
I am headed down to Anna Maria Island again and I am taking my boat. Last year I just sprayed everything down with Salt Away and had no corrosion issues. This year I thought about spraying some kind of corrosion protection on the engine. Any recommendations from you salt water guys?
Thanks
It has been 7 months and my boat has been in the water for 1 hour. Every weekend it rains. Loaded up yesterday and left the house, perfect weather, got to the ramp rain and storms. Forecast for today was sunny until 3 to 4 in the afternoon. But guess what rain, cloudy and cool. I am so tired of...
I know a lot of people who have boats are in to cars. So I thought I would see if someone had an answer to a few questions. I have a 07 Murano that is dark blue. I have never had a car that shows scratches so easily. What is the best way to remove these white scratches in the clearcoat? I have...
Tried everything, reset the radio, and plugged in a portable Sirius radio to check the antenna (which is fine) unplugged all cords to the radio and Sirius box, disconnected power supply to the radio. It still says "updating". I do not know what else to do. I guess I will call Clarion and see if...
Guys,
I have read through most of the threads and cant seem to find the answer to my problem.
My Sirius will not work. It just says "updating" on the screen. I have Clarion CMD4A. It worked fine last year. I have been on the phone with sirius, unplugged the cnet cables, reset the radio...
Be prepared to have discoloration on your stainless props and braided lines. I took my boat to Fl and we used it every day for a week. After each day we stored it on a lift. It still tarnished my SS prop and braided lines going into the drive. Not a big deal but it happens quickly.
Good Luck.
My first Sea Ray was a 1997 190 Signiture Series with a 5.7 V8.
This boat would porpoise as well unless it was trimed just right. I was told by a dealer that a majority of the 190's came with a smaller motor and the weight of the 5.7 contributed to the problem. The boat had a whale tail on it...
It was the oil seal from where the gear lube drains from the resevior into the drive. The Tech at my dealer told me that this seal will let lube out but it will not let water in. However they pulled the drive and replaced the gaskets and lube. No water was in the drive. It was all under warranty...
Well I found the leak. It took the boat sitting for over a week, but a tiny spot of oil was under the drive on the pavement. It was only about the size of a dime. I ran my hands behind the drive and a little lube got on my finger. It was right under the anode on the rear of the drive. I removed...
It is an Alpha one drive and it happened after I had been cruising. We had not pulled any tubes this year. After I filled it back up then we pulled tubes for several hours. The gear lube stayed full.
No I did not pull the drive. I did fill it from the bottom up until a drop or two came out of the top. I topped it off after the first run, but it stayed above the add mark until yesterday, that is when the alarm went off. Then I filled it to the max level and ran it pulling tubes for several...
Guys,
I have read many post about this issue and cannot seem to find anything like what happened to me today.
After running my boat and shutting it down for the kids to swim, when I started the boat my low gear lube alarm went off. I checked the resivior and it was low. I filled it up and...
We booked a place with a boat lift in the Holmes Beach Area in Key Royale. What would be the closest and best ramp to launch from?
We will be there the week of June 21, can't be here soon enough.
Thanks
