I'm looking for someone who can repair my Onan generator in my 1990 Sundancer, in Southern California; specifically Riverside or Orange Counties. I tried the Onan distributor in Irvine but they weren't much help. It hasn't been started in at least 2 years; last time I was able to start it, it...
Looking for good generator mechanic in Orange or Riverside County for my Onan First Mate generator. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks; Pete (guitarfish)

HOW DO I TIGHTEN my IMPELLER BELT? Anybody have or know of diagrams I can download that will show the components and belt routing? It's really hard to see the front section of the engine in the engine compartment, so diagrams would be helpful. It's a Bravo 3 Magnum engine/outdrive. Thanks...
Anybody have any diagrams (online, google, or otherwise) that show the components with belts, routing, etc? That would be helpful also! Thanks; Pete/guitarfish
Just pulled my thermostat out of my Onan generator. It was rusted as well as the thermostat "compartment". Is my generator completely shot? Can it be repaired? Rebuilt? Can I replace it with a portable generator and use it below decks with the blower on? Thanks in Advance for your help!!
Hey, gang - - speaking of water heaters - - the water heater on my 270 DA works well with shore power, or with the generator (when the generator is working) - - it used to work fine after running the engine for a while, but now the water doesn't heat when running the engine (but works with shore...
Thanks for the replies, guys - - I definitely need to replace it - - it's the trim hose that wraps around and under the trim cylinder - - I mostly just want to know if I'm gonna have to remove the trim cylinder, or if I can remove and replace it without removing the trim cylinder. Thanks...
Looks like I need to install a new In/Down Trim Hose (starboard side), since mine appears to be leaking (oil). Question is, do I need to remove the trim cylinder to do this? It's a 1990 Sea Ray, 27', mercruiser bravo III. Any suggestions for parts sources and/or part number? Thanks...
Looking for a hinge for the right side door under the sink on my 1990 27 DA . Part number appears to be 521336 - - owner's manual says this is the part number for the door (including hardware?) ~ ~ Probably don't need the door, just the hinge, although the wood where the hinges are attached...
I'm hoping I found it - - it may have been the louvered vent for the blower. There was a gap between the vent and the gelcoat (outside of the boat). Water seems to have been seeping in, then dripping between the outside of the boat and the inner liner of the boat, working it's way down to the...
WATER LEAK in aft berth: I have a water leak in the aft berth on my 1990 270DA Sundancer; it shows up on the wall on the port side of the aft berth (upholstered) wall. It shows up if it rains, if I wash the boat, or if we go boating in rough weather/rough water. I've sealed every nook and...
Not sure how that happened; :smt021glad someone noticed?!?!? I'll just have to pour thru the manual and see what I can figure out. :smt100 I'm only marginally mechanically inclined, but I'm tired of paying marine mechanics $150 per hour to figure this stuff out, and only sometimes...
From guitarfish, re: my original post re: Generator problems; thanks to all, for all of your input. Unless I missed something, I'm still in the dark as far as why my generator all of a sudden, won't even start without actually holding down the "start" switch?!?!?
To Quint4 from guitarfish re: Gen probs: thanks for the input; I could probably use any part numbers if you have them handy; I may have the manual, however. Thanks again; Pete (guitarfish)
