Looks like I need to install a new In/Down Trim Hose (starboard side), since mine appears to be leaking (oil). Question is, do I need to remove the trim cylinder to do this? It's a 1990 Sea Ray, 27', mercruiser bravo III. Any suggestions for parts sources and/or part number? Thanks; guitarfish (Pete) :smt100

Where is it leaking from? If it's not obvious, spray it down with some brakleen and operate the pump to see where the leak occurs. Then tighten the fitting if that's where it's coming from - that might be all you need to do. If it's coming from the crimp, then yes, replace it.

Thanks for the replies, guys - - I definitely need to replace it - - it's the trim hose that wraps around and under the trim cylinder - - I mostly just want to know if I'm gonna have to remove the trim cylinder, or if I can remove and replace it without removing the trim cylinder. Thanks!! Pete/guitarfish

Yes, you can do it place. Tie the drive up to your cleats, just make sure it doesn't drop. The system will self bleed itself after a few times running it up and down. You may need to add a bit of fluid.
