I can remove the top bolt, but the bottom bolt or stem spins freely. I'm still not sure if its a bolt or a metal stem that holds the hand rail vertical. I also have'nt tried using force to lift straight out since i'm worried about damaging it. Thanks
i"m looking for a little guidance, my cabin door handle partially popped off. The top of the handle is disconnected from the bolt, and the nut. i think the nut should normally be welded into the top of handle but is broke and remains on the bolt, leaving the bottom of handle loosely attached to...

1999 27' sundancer, toilet is a Sealand, model # 848, power vacuum flush when you step on the 'foot-pedal, and refills with water when you lift the foot pedal. Problem: the rounded 'half moon' that falls back into place after each flush does not fall back into place, also, no...

Two of my four electrical outlets are not working. The GFI outlet in the 'galley' is reset and working... Boat is new to me, are there another GFI outlets that I didn't find? Any help is appreciated, Thanks, Bill
Sorry, I just posted this in another forum, then saw this electrical question thread... My port side navigational bulb is out, do I attack it from 'top-side' or pry the cushioned panel off the bulkhead in the berthing cabin?
PS: I'd rather ask a stupid question than fix a stupid mistake...
1999, 270 Sundancer: Anyone know if I attack this from top-side or do I pull the cushioned panel in the berthing cabin to reach the bulb.
PS: I'd rather ask a stupid question, than fix a stupid mistake. As always, Thanks for the help, Bill
I'd rather ask a stupid question than repair a stupid mistake. When I'm hooked up to dock power @ my slip, are both batteries automatically trickle charging? How about when I'm cruising, both batteries charging? When I leave the boat for a few days, should the battery dial be switched to off, 1...

Just purchased a used 1999 Sundancer 270, 2 of the window screens are torn and I'm reluctant to have a dealership repair. I easily repair my home screens, however, I'm unsure if I proceed with these screens from the cabin, or from the exterior of the boat. Anyone familiar with this repair...

WOW! I honestly never expected such a large response. My original goal was to start the 'genny' and relax and probably sleep with the air conditioner on during a hot humid night... I really appreciate the heads up, I had no idea that the potential on the open water for fumes to seep into the...
Hi People,
I just purchased a 1999 Sundancer 270. Some say to buy a portable generator, haul it on and off the boat as needed while mooring away from slip... Is this safe and yet still practical? Thanks,
