I'd rather ask a stupid question than repair a stupid mistake. When I'm hooked up to dock power @ my slip, are both batteries automatically trickle charging? How about when I'm cruising, both batteries charging? When I leave the boat for a few days, should the battery dial be switched to off, 1, 2, or both? Can, should, or shouldn't I start the motor while plugged into dock? Anchored with friends away from dock, listening to tunes for a few hours: 1, 2, or both?
I thank you all in advance who provide me with any advice. The questions I've previously asked here, were answered and really provided me with great confidence, again, Thanks!! Bill

PS: Brand new boater, I know nothing! I'm learning :smt001

YES How about when I'm cruising, both batteries charging? NO...JUST THE BATTERY SELECTED ON THE SWITCH When I leave the boat for a few days, should the battery dial be switched to off, 1, 2, or both? OFF Can, should, or shouldn't I start the motor while plugged into dock? DOESN'T MATTER Anchored with friends away from dock, listening to tunes for a few hours: 1, 2, or both? 1 OR 2 NEVER BOTH...ALWAYS WANT A CHARGED BATTERY TO START MOTOR
