A 460 DA is a great boat. It is a big boat, but handles well. Be sure you're ready for the committment of a "big" boat in terms of cost, maintenance, and time. Although I haven't looked recently for slips, I suspect in the Mystic area there are choices available. Check up and down the Mystic...
A few years back we took a trip from Pt Judith RI to Lake Champlain and back. It was a nice trip and one we'll remember for a long time. We left the weekend of Tropical Storm Ernesto so roller type waves got big and we had to make an unexpected stop in Milford, CT. We went north of Fishers...
I am also in Pt Judith at Pt Judith Marina. We often travel east and go to Cuttyhunk, the Cape, Islands, and places in Buzzards Bay. It can get a little rough off Westport, so I would just watch wind speeds (usually coming from SW) and you will have a good trip. Like others have suggested, I...
I boat from Pt Judith Marina. I live 3 hr drive away by car but love the accessibility when I get there. Also can't say enough good about PJM. Clean, well maintained, good service, etc. Block Is., Cuttyhunk, Newport, Montauk, Three Mile Hrb., Mystic, Milford, Buzzards Bay, Falmouth...
I am wondering if the depth coming through the inlet at LOW TIDE is sufficient and same for the bay heading to Patchogue. I draw a little less than 4'.
I am going to boat races next weekend. I am in a 420DA. I am leaving Friday, planning to go ouside at Montauk, and probably arriving to Moriches Inlet around 2pm. Will I be ok to come through inlet and down bay to Patchogue at that time? If not what other options are available? Thanks.
if its not too late, try Point Judith Marina in Pt Judith. I think their posted prices yesterday were $2.59 for diesel. Normally they are VERY compettive.
Hi,
My homeport is Pt Judith, RI. I own/operate at 2004 420 DA. From what I gather there are powerboat races in Patchotogue (sp?) this Aug 22. I am interested in attending these probably arriving Friday and departing sometime Sunday. Wondering if you have any suggestions on where to stay...
