I had the White Glove service last week. Vessel View is upgraded to v4.0 and the Axius software is updated. I think they mentioned something too about changing the GPS unit. So far so good and everything seems to be running very smoothly.

Gas Overfill? My 2009 330Da when filling the fuel tanks will overfill *everytime* and spill out the overflow. This is regardless of what fuel dock/pump i am at. Something about my fuel fillers dont "pop" the fuel pump to stop. Anyone else having this issue? What does everyone do?

I tried to upload a PDF copy of the axius install manuall that came with my boat. Page 159 has the diagram you are looking for with dimensions. the whole PDF is 26MB - too large for this website. i found the PDF copy by google searching one day. One of the merc european websites has them all...

Its 100% fly-by-wire. the steering wheel is attached to an electric motor which feeds steering position electronically to the computer. No hydraulics. I'm an not certain that Axius is retro-fit option.

It's listed as a factory option on the sea ray website. I think they install it in the side of the cockpit seat storage, but dont know the details. PLus Sea Ray doesnt release their parts manuals anymore so cant see where the dealer thinks it should go.

Bugsy24, When i 1st got the boat, vessleview would freeze, Axius wouldnt engage. Mercruise has "Axius Field People" that run to authorized service centers and upgrade the VessleView software and the Axius software. You cannot do this yourself unfortunatly. I found my MarineMax dealer reluctant...

Autopilot requires a NMEA0183 connection between your chartplotter and VesselView. It is not hooked up by default. I had to order the VesselView NMEA0183 cable from Merc. I was lucky that I put my own chartplotter in and selected Garmin. It works great with turns from waypoint to waypoint...

You need a software upgrade - contact Merc, they send out a merc rep to do the upgrades. Just got my last one this week. Axius system works flawlessly.
