Gauge lights not working when Navigation lights buttons on switchpad are pressed?

I guess that makes sense. I’m going to hope for the best on this one. Wiring everywhere I can see under dash looks good.

Gauge lights not working when Navigation lights buttons on switchpad are pressed?

Best I can tell, somehow that blue wire is now a ground wire? With Nav lights on or off on keypad that blue wire is a ground wire. I took the positive from my cigarette lighter at the helm and with + of multimeter to that and negative to the blue wire I see +12V. The EIM in the aft is...

Correct, I have electronic switch pads (like in the picture) - not regular switches. Ended up being the 5A fuse in the fore EIM for the dimmer was bad.

Gauge lights not working when Navigation lights buttons on switchpad are pressed?

As of now, with the Nav lights on or off I am not getting +12V from the blue wire which would then light up all the gauges. These are not Smartcraft gauges. There is a dimmer on the keypad and that is turned all the way up. I can see the green LED's on the keybad dim up or down when using the...

Gauge lights not working when Navigation lights buttons on switchpad are pressed?

The Nav lights come on with the same button. Maybe it is a relay - not sure which one it would be?? The photos attached are from online, but mine should be similar if not the same.

I believe the "beep" function on my multimeter is simply to tell a person that there is a break in a wire for example - like touching one end of the wire with the positive end of the multimeter and the other with the negative end of the multimeter. If there was a break in the wire, it wouldn't...

Gauge lights not working when Navigation lights buttons on switchpad are pressed?

Wiring question/issue…. When I turn on my navigation lights my individual gauges (trim, wired radio remote, depth finder, speed, RPM, trim, etc.) no longer light up? Navigation lights still work, and switch pads light up and even dim. But, none of the gauges light up - at first they were...

I would agree! I searched everywhere in the bilge and even where the cooler gets stored - I pulled the panel by cooler to see if there was anything back behind there dead. I found absolutely nothing - no sign a rodent was ever in the bilge to begin with. Even used my leaf blower through all...

Something is afoul in my bilge. It does not smell well, and it is not a smell we've ever noticed before and we've had this boat for around 10yrs. I assumed it was my holding tank vent filter being clogged or needing replacement - however, that didn't solve the issue. Also, we never noticed...

Correct, that will be easy to do. However, I don't think that is the cause. I plan to mess with it today.

Vesselview Bluetooth Question on a single 496 MAG

Do you think the Vesselview mobile should be tied to the port engine vs. stbd if single engine?

Vesselview Bluetooth Question on a single 496 MAG

I have the Vesselview installed on my 2003 Sea Ray 280 with a single 496 MAG. I've never been able to figure out which alarms or otherwise I should block or disable based on the year and model of my engine. Anyone know how to figure that out? I believe mine is set to STBD engine, I haven't...

Finally pulled the cover of the throttle housing last night. What is there in this assembly that I should adjust/lubricate? Anything else down by the engine I should lubricate or otherwise so shifting forward/reverse doesn't require so much force? When I press the black button it seems to be...
