Does anyone know how the area underneath the cockpit sink and refrigerator drains?

Over the weekend we did some heavy cleaning and that compartment seems to hold water and not drain out. I looked around and could not find a drain. The seam from the cabinet area to the deck on my boat is caulked so eventually I had to resort to removing it with via a shopvac.

Thanks, Kevin.

I just dealt with that a few weeks ago myself. As far as I could tell there is not any type of drain as it is not supposed to get wet in there. My solution was to cut out a section of the caulk around the bottom seal between the refrigerator/icemaker and step. Every time I have pulled the refrigerator I have found standing water back there. This spring it had quite a bit more water than usual, but I attribute that to cleaning and the method I was temporarily using to cover the boat while canvas was being replaced.

Kevin, I have a 2005 340 and had the same issue. I ended up having to use the old sponge and bucket method of removal to get the water out. Now I make sure to just wipe it down to clean that area and not to spray any water in there. I took the sink and faucet out as well when I bought the boat and installed a nice counter where the sink & faucet used to be and we use it as a bar area now.

Thanks, I thought there might have been a drain area behind the fridge out of sight. I find it hard to believe it does not drain out somehow. Think I will try to remove some of the caulking in that back corner area - maybe even drill a small hole to allow for better drainage. Meantime, I'm gonna try to keep it dry.

Thanks!
Kevin

Can anyone tell me where the raw water pumps/impellers are located for the heat exchangers? Thanks

There are several threads on replacing the impellers, just search for it. The raw water pumps are on the front of the engine, lower right corner. (Remember that the engines are mounted backwards in V-Drive config) Unless you are Gumby or a vertically challenged person (can't say midget anymore) it is a royal pain in the butt to change them. Although I do the majority of work on my boat, that is the one job that I farm out. For myself, it is not worth the pain and suffering and better to part ways with $500-600 bucks.

see ray, you can rule out the actuator. They are the same for the port and strbd engines. Open the electrical panel (be sure unplug from shore power) The switches pop out. All of the wires are color coded and most are numbered. Carefully swap the port and strbd switches. If your problem moves, there is your answer. I had this same problem, did this and it was the actuator. You must order the actuator from a Sea Ray dealer as they have proprietary rights to it. I called the manufacturer (listed on switch) and they directed me to dealer, although they had over 1000 in stock. Good Luck !

Jus completed my port engine and will attest...it's a PITA. So to remove a couple of hose clamps, Remove the belt (that part took 30 seconds), two nuts and one bolts bolt toke 1.5 hours. To reinstall took nearly 2.5 hours plus a lot of swearing.

This may seem silly but take the drip tray out. I had the same symptoms and this worked for me.

Lol I actually did that and it's helping a little but not 100% was wondering if the thermostat wires under the freezer need to be free of frost

Anyone ever have problems with water pressure in the shower? I'm hooked up to water at my dock and I feel like my water pressure should be better on all my faucets, and especially better on my shower.

I changed out my fridge last year becasue it eventually wouldn't keep cool enough but before I did that I nursed the old one along for a season. The last season I had the same symptoms you are describing and to help remedy it I had to defrost it once a month and it would work good again till the frost came back. I would take everything out, put some towels in the bottom to soak up the water and let it thaw out overnight with the door open.

Do you have a same issue when not on town water, running off the water tank and pump? If not then it is probably a bad regulator. It is the piece in the transome Locker that you hook the town water supply hose up to. They are knowing to go bad.

Yea same problem on my pump. I'm thinking that the nozzle is just badly clogged in bathroom

Sediment in the lines tend to clog the faucets at the strainers. It's always best to use a filter when hooking up to water to help reduce this. I have used the camper style ones that are available at places like walmart and I am looking into putting a house type one directly on my dock.

Oh yea I forgot to check the online filter! Yea I use one of the culligan water filters with clear canister at the dock all the time
