This has been a brutal start to 2019, fellas

It's funny how it works that way. If you go on a trip and take an umbrella it won't rain. Leave the umbrella at home and you get downpours.

You're gonna be in trouble when your son learns how to start that tractor! My grandkids already love riding on it with me. They're too short to reach the clutch that has to be depressed to start it, but it won't be long.

They grow so fast, enjoy while you can...

Woody, we had a rig like that when we lived up north. My wife loved it so much, she would take care of the snow duties.

Cool gas pump:)

I worked at TGI Friday’s in Indianapolis. They wanted to get rid of it so I took it. That was 35 years ago.

That is my grandson on my plowing tractor. This is him one of my mowers. For some reason I have 4. :)

My daughter learning how to drive my new Kubota.

Sorry for hijacking thread.

Back on track. Today’s ice map. Highest total ice cover I’ve noticed this year.

It was 5 degrees in Indianapolis this morning with maybe an inch of snow.

I work at a private neighborhood golf course when the weather is good. Hopefully that will be in a week or two.

Garages and barns are starting to collapse with snow weight. We lost a lean-to off the back of our garage we keep to cover firewood. Had the roofs cleared today since we are expected anywhere from 6-9" in the next few days. (firewood survived the collapse)

Guys, this is a genuine question...

Why do you live in such extreme cold places? Do you enjoy the cold? I've been asking this question for about 30 years and always interested in the answers....

For my type of business, this is where the money is.

I enjoy seasons. In Virginia, we spent all summer searching for A/C because it was too damn hot and humid out. Now we spend winters riding snowmobiles, snow-shoeing, skiing, ice fishing etc. And freshwater under the keel makes maintenance much easier. We moved up here in 2011, and I couldn't be happier. I was stagnated in my job. Now, I am 3-4X more successful and work less.
