I have a leak in my oil pan. In order to replace it the engine has to be lifted. Is there anything else I should have done or looked at while this is being done?
Thanks
We are going wakeboarding with our 21' EC. We used to ski behind our previous boat all the time. Anyone with experience with the EC? Do you use the mid stern tow eye or the two side stern (lifting/tie) down eyes? We always used to hook to the two tie down eyes on our prvious boat with the...
While changing the zincs on my merc cruiser alpha one, gen 2 outdrive, I noticed the prop shaft zinc was only held on with one bolt. The other hole for the other bolt was plugged (probabaly with a broken bolt). My question is, is the one good bolt enough? The old zinc had done it's job and was...
I broke off several of the pins where the cable hooks into the back of the unit. The plastic aroound the connection was broken, the pins bent and I tried to straighten them and they broke. I called Garmin and they said the unit was an older model, they do not make parts or repair older models...
I also won the free "shop wash". I was having them (MM Somers Point, NJ) winterize my engine and outdrive anyway. They did a great job /wash on the outside and inside of my boat.:smt038
My trim tabs also stop me from using the "eyes" on the trailer. I tied down from the boat to the trailer frame. I trailered down to Marine Max (somers Point nj) for winterization and a few minor repairs. About a hour and a half. No problems, could hardly tell the boat was back there!

Re: 215 EC trailering!
The new trailer's post that the bow stop is mounted on had to be moved back on the trailer frame. Once I did this the boat sits on the bunks with about two inches of bunk beyond the transom. The trailer and boat now go down the road and you can hardly tell they are back...
Thanks, I pulled her out yesterday I believe she is sitting too far forward. The bunks extend past the transom. I think if I adjust the bow stop down/back it should take care of this problem.
Cliff,
Thanks for the reply! I love your/our boat, they are twins!
The picture really helps I might have to adjust the bow stop and the bunkers on the new trailer. I know that the engine needs to up going in and out at the ramp. I was wondering what position the outdrive should be in...
I had to buy a new trailer for my 1999 215 EC (it did not come with one). When on the trailer, how should the boat be situated on the bunks? Should the outdirve be in the up (trailering) position while going down the road? Any suggestons or any experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
