Garmin gpsmap 232

I broke off several of the pins where the cable hooks into the back of the unit. The plastic aroound the connection was broken, the pins bent and I tried to straighten them and they broke. I called Garmin and they said the unit was an older model,they do not make parts or repair older models. :smt100
It appears it would be an easy fix, the piece looks like it would just screw out if I could find a replacement.
Doew anyone know where I might be able to get a new connecting piece?
