I experienced an unusual noise coming from the rear of the engine bay after I got on plane and started to trim the engine up a little bit. I continued for about 10 seconds before I brought it back to neutral and opened the bilge to check it out. The best way I know to describe the noise, is the...
Had my first major engine failure on the water today. 4 carefree seasons, and WHAM - The luck ran out today. Alright, here is the story.
Last weekend, I took my 2006 Sea Ray Sundancer, 350 MAG, out for a slow boating cruise one night after dark. I never ran up on plane, but when out of the...
Has anyone with the smart craft set up had issues with the power trim reading bouncing around while running. My dealer says that the digital smart craft is a direct read out of the power trim gague and not tied independently to the power trim itself. That makes since, but the gague read out...
Yup, keep an eye on the water level, and only top off with distilled H20. Manual says before every use, but I go every 30 days during the season. Additionally, check your manual for the recommended time to leave the charger on. Although I can't recall the battery brand in my 260 at the...
Does anyone have some pics of their optional cockpit TV on their sport crusier? The one that slides into place on the wet bar. I'm having some customer audio/video work done and I want mine to look just like the optional one that can be added when purchased new. It was not an option on the...
The bounty dive was a success! The piece of carpet was pulled down the marina during slack tide, and got caught up in some slats that section off the pylons under the restaurant and a section of floating dock. (About 50 feet from where it went in.) Cleaned it up tonight and it looks brand new...
Thanks for all the advise - Here is the plan - I'm going to see if the diver will go for a bounty dive. My offering will be of the "all or nothing" variety. $100 if he can locate and bring up. (He's down there all the time anyway, he should go for it.) If no luck there, I'll order from...
Yep, at the Station. I agree when it comes to the current. I did talk to the diver about keeping an eye out while he was down there. But my guess is unless there was something down there to hang it up, it could have driffed along way....Especially by now. I'll check out some of these sites...
Hate to admit that I allowed this to happen, but since I would like some feedback from my fellow Sea Ray owners, here goes -
After about a year with my 260, I decided it was time to really clean the cockpit carpets. Pulled them out, hosed them down, and shampooed them. They came out great...
Mine has aluminum. Was broke when I took delivery. Didn't get fixed for 3 months because they didn't have the ability to do it at my marina. It was a pain in the a**. Finnally got it down to the dealer and they replaced. Said they have had multiple issues with '06 260 - 320's.
Great idea for storing the cockpit table and pole...In addition to the table storage, I never liked the designated spot for the pole...Good stuff...I'm going to have to relocate my bilge heater to do it on mine...Do you have a heater in yours? If so, where did you set it up at?
