Thanks guys. I will check the comps. Its not new but its a lot of boat for that price. I was thinking maybe the broker wants to find the buyer himself so he does not have to share the comission.
I need some advice about the proper price point for my 97' sea ray 400. I've have it listed for $119,900 for about 9 months but don't seem to get much traffic. i know its not a new boat but i put one new reman cat engine in and a new gene. Its got good guts so i thought it would sell quickly...
Went on our first 170 mile trip to key largo and enjoyed. We ran about 22-25 mph. 2300-2500 rpm. We have cat 3116s. The 300 hp version. We burned 180 gallons. About 1.06 gallons per mile. Is this good fuel consumption? Wondering if I should go a bit slower and keep the Rpms at more like 2200...
Ok next issue. My westerbeke gets no water flow. Sea strainer clean and has good flow. Gene mechanic showed me the location of the raw water pump and impeller. It's located aft of the generator and in front of the fresh water tank. They say they must remove generator to access water pump. How...
Engine start update. When I start the new port engine with the throttle advanced one quarter of the way it immediately starts without any hesitation. This makes me think it gets a lack of fuel. Perhaps the throttle cable needs replacement?

Thank you so much guys. I did try the emergency start and it did not seem to help. The voltage reads almost 14 at the helm. I will check each battery individually before calling cat. I did notice after the engine is warm it restarts more easily. Not sure what that indicates.

My port engine 3116 is slow to turn on. The starboard catches immediately. 1/2 a second maybe. Whereas I have to hold the port start switch for maybe 5 seconds while the engine cranks before it catches. This engine is new with 150 hours from cat. Also I notice with the port the low oil...
Islandbound, I pulled mine off. They are foam on top of plywood. The wood has plastic dowels which are pushed into a female receiving end. No glue on mine.

That's interesting. So it could be a leak somewhere else as well. I noticed the port porthole Windows leak a little. I will check that next. Thanks

Ok back to my water problem in the guest stateroom floor storage. Water continues to accumulate. It has been raining lately and we went out in 4 ft seas. I can't find a leak anywhere but have not yet removed the toilet. The waste lines are old but not leaking. I found the fart fan vent in the...
Yes from under the black rubber. Must have been doing this for a long time. But I'm having a hard time finding the source. The black waste line which runs near there seems dry on the exterior.

I have a problem I'm trying to figure out. Attached is a pic of the floor storage of the guest stateroom. It keeps filling with brown water. Looks like waste but does not smell. I thought it only happened when the holding tank was full but yesterday the storage compartment filled up with 3...
So I have a 30 amp pedestal. I plug a 30 amp splitter into the pedestal and run two 30 amp cords to the boat. I was thinking the alternative is to use the splitter in the boat trunk and just run one 30 amp cord to the pedestal.
