I got the recall notice. Also got one last year and got it done when I did my yearly genset service. This new notice sounds somewhat like the one last year ?
mquiet,
My boat was 3 years old last year and I had the manifolds and risers replaced last year. July 2014. It is now 2015, exactly one year later and they have failed again. What happened to the 3 year time frame ? I thought I would have 2 more years. Replacing every year just does not sound...
Salt away did not prevent my past and current problem. I have a 2011 28DA. I boat in brackish bay water. Last year,2014 had to replace manifold, risers etc due to curosion.
One year later, I have the same problem. Perhaps I just got a defective 350 mag. I would be interested to know if any other...
Hope it is just a sensor. I have a single 350 w/BR 3. Had the same thing happen last year- June 2014 ( boat bought new, 2011,had 300 hrs) I got no read out from the gauges. Found out the manifold, risers, gaskets etc were corroded out. Had to replace them all.
Two weeks ago guardian stopped it...
Do not use Octopus! I tried it and it was a complete bust. Had 3 different people work on it with no results. Sent it back to the company to see if it was defective. They returned it and said it was ok. I am moving on and will just trash it.
I have a 2011. 280DA.
Length. 28'8"
Beam. 8'10"
Dry weight. 8,2111
single 350 MAG Bravo III
The 2015 is the same boat with a few cosmetic changes.
I have no problem with power. Getting on plane quickly is difficult if more than 4 people are on board.
The picture of that page is the "sticker price". That is the starting point for negotiations. Nobody pays sticker price for a boat. Like nobody pays sticker price for a car.
Hey Blaster, I assume your reply was a joke comment. My boat came with a fire extinguisher mounted in the Engine room. Also one below each sink. Head, Galley and top side bar. I also have a first aid kit onboard. Have used it several times.
