who many hours did you have on the old motor?

Anybody here put long blocks or new motors in a 370? I have 454s with 2500 hours. Figure I might do a prevent replacement over the winter. Would like to go with the next gen as I have carb and the crappy belt driven fuel pump. Thanks for any feedback.

Sorry from your issues but this was what i was looking for. My engines continue to work great. 2175 hours on them. Some people say I am on borrowed time others say could be no problem for another 1000. So those here what are the hours on your 1995 370s. Any 3500+ out there?

Not sure if you ever found a solution: I had a shipwright fab a wood laminate as they could not match and of the original laminate.

I have 2200 hours on my 1995 370(7.4) and still running well. Pretty early go beyond 3400RPM.

Yes, we moved from Seattle to be near Daughter and Grandkids.

did you go? We had moorage at Roanoke Reef on Lake Union. Watching the boat go by following the fireworks I would eight stay till morning or at least until the maniacs cleared out as it is a cluster. We moved to Portland so have not been there for a while. It really is awesome to watch on the water.

I have two sets of brown wires: solid brown and another brown with orange stripe. the third wire is black

Now another question: I just bought a new shower sump- not too bad- replacing the original on my 1995- the old unit has 2 brown wires - one with orange strip and a black. The new unit has only two wires to connect - black- and one +. The sump and switch are already connected. Any suggestions...
