Well, I missed my original launch date but, now working on next summer. Motor I found in the Midland Michigan area has been completely restored and ready.

I would not jump into a major project boat unless there's a 'labor of love' attacted (like "Farm Fresh"). I was looking on Craigslist to see if any 1972 sea rays are out there and found a nice one in Northern Michigan. Owner describes the boat in excellent shape with some work required. So...

Need a 140 hp Mercury (1400) outboard motor, trim and throttle controls for a 1972 SRV 190 Project. Larry 313-805-6152

I'm looking for a 140 hp outboard and throttle controls. Is there an advantage to a standard shaft vs. long shaft motor? I do not know the shaft length originally on the motor. Does any know if the engine tag indicates a standard ro long shaft?
