Tonneau and Bow Cover 98 230BR

SeaRide, yup you are correct ! Great Lakes replied to my query later today and sure enough made in AZ and the patterns were lost. Westland is the tag on the engine divider curtains. A real shame indeed. I replaced my 2nd water pump this year and we are waiting for the bellows gimble kit to...

Great Lakes Boats have no patterns for the 98 23' Bow rider. Who manufactured the covers for the 1998 230 Select covers ?

Opinion on water now draining out of hull when plug removed?

I would sit the boat in the water for a few hours and see if any water appears. If not, take it out and run for a few hours and check again. If water appears only when running, dry land it and attach the ears and run with the garden hose. I recall several years ago one of my blue plastic plugs...

    1998 230 BR Signature DECALS

The large side decals came off with ease as well as the glue. I did not remove the one that covers the area where the teal gel coat meets the white as well as the lowest teal and gold at the bottom just above the water line. Very pleased with the new look. The pin strips on the upper cockpit are...

    1998 230 BR Signature DECALS

I may just do the same, strip all the decals and see how it looks. Now the question, what is the best way to remove the existing and the glue? Wonder if I can buff the sides in order to match the area that has never seen sun for 15 years.

    1998 230 BR Signature DECALS

SeaRide, he was cleaning his tin geri boat of the summer slime and fish guts from the carpet; he really takes care of his belongings. For whatever reason he figured he would clean the side of mine while we were home from the "family" cottage. The SOB started at the bow and didn't quit until he...

    1998 230 BR Signature DECALS

My dear brother took a pressure washer to one side of my boat. You would think once he noticed the decals flying, he would have stopped, but NO he blasted the *^&# out of them. SeaRay no longer has the side decals for a 98. Any suggestions next to sinking his tin Geri pontoon boat? My "Ray" was...

    Whistle and ping.

Bang on, the service manager is correct! I have a 7.4 454 cu. in. MPI spinning a BIII leg and it whistles as it throttles up as well. As for fuel, I burn high test.

Difficulty removing 1st gen alpha one outdrive

Mike, I can not stress the importance of alignment enough. I had issues removing my drive and re installing it for 3 years. Finally I had to replace the cup, not once but twice within 4 years; no forward or reverse; the rubber in the cup was toast. We used an alignment tool and found the engine...

    Gas additive

MMO; I run it in my lawn mower, boat, 4 wheeler, chain saw and especially the 28 Ford Model A. I used to top off the fuel tank prior to summer or winter lay up. Now I drain everything and when the season starts, I fill them up with high test, a splash of MMO and have experienced no problems...

1998 Sea Ray 210BR - All Fiberglass, or still some wood?

Lads, I have been following a thread for several months regarding wood replacement by a fellow in Texas. The work he has done and the extensive restoral job is well beyond what I would attempt. I'll try and post the link. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=454460&page=16
