thanks for all the great reply's and it's about what I was thinking in size. I'm in Texas so i could probly get away with a over sized load althought they are cracking down on all trailers much more now. This isn't much to do with boat but I just found out one crazy law here in Texas to do...

    Largiest practical towable boat

I have always wondered what the largiest practdical boat for towing from place to place is without having to remove things, get permits, or mark as wide load that is. With unlimited towing options now days how big a searay could one go?

removing side controles I need help on how to remove them

I'm 90% complet on finishing the flooring and vinyl and saved the two hardiest pieces for last. I looked at the driver gun well with the forward/reverse controle and I can't figure on how to remove it. It's a mercruiser controle for a 82 sea ray. I guess the hand controle needs to be...

    1971 SRV 180 - Refit

When you say profile I think of the frame. Your frame looks fine but I do see some glass missing. A glass shop should be able to get you glass, think its safty glass. I just removed my whole windshield on one side and am getting ready to to the other side. It's not as hard as I thought it...

    on to the interior

Got the outdrive going, so we dove into the interior last week. I repaired all the bad parts of the floor and side wells. Put new carpet in (I never knew how much carpet could go in a 19ft boat). and put new vinyl on the passanger dash. 15 or so more pieces to vinyl and se should be done. A...

    Trailering a 260DA?

It's so hard to say what will and will not work. I had a 1/2 ton dodge with gas 5.9 and a chevy 1 ton with a 5.7 at the same time. The 1/2 ton just flat out did better on fuel, pulling and handling. Stopping was better with the 1 ton but it had 2 more tires on the ground. I'm in construction...

    76 SRV 200 Project

I'm redoing all my interior now. I have a few soft spots in the floor that I'm gonna tackle this week. Most of the wood is in good shape. I have a sun deck with a bench in front of that and that was one reason I went with this boat. It gives more seating. We also went with smaller less...

restoration 230 continued. Redid the gunnel panels- check out my vinyl work

I'm impressed with your whole project. We just finished ripping out 85% of the interior of our little boat today. Guess we'll start removing millions of staples and carpet pieces tomorow and then on to fixing a few wood problems.
