    nitrogen filled tires

I wrote this article for the Motorcycle Group I ride with: --------- Is it time to “CHANGE THE AIR” in your tires? Years ago, that might have been a “prank joke” question that you pulled on a new driver or rider but today, it’s a very plausible thing to consider doing. That’s because...

    VHF radios

It's peace of mind to have on board and in addition to a fixed mount I also carry a hand held waterproof battery operated unit too which I think I paid something like $69 for on sale at Cabella's. The portable can be kept in a ditch bag. I had my Dealer install (their recommendation) a Standard...

    Sea Ray 185 v. Four Winns 180

This is a "Buyers" market, not a sellers market. Keep looking and narrow your search to the 4.3 V6 and you'll be happier for it. Lots of boats on the market or coming to market just now, with the sellers thinking that boat season brings better prices. While normally true, fewer buyers equate...

    185 with 135 hp

Well, having owned both: Bayliner 3.0 carb Sea Ray 4.3 carb TKS I can say without question that the bayliner was a bear and a bit*h to get warmed up and run without stalling and hiccuping. The 4.3 with TKS on the other hand starts immedietely and runs like it's warmed up right from the start...

    185 with 135 hp

My opinion? Stay clear of the Bayliner. I had one and sold it 2 years ago. I had a 2005 175BR with the 3.0 Mercruiser. Bought it used but like new condition. Bayliner quality is so questionable that even the bow light was installed crooked and faced much more to "port" then straight ahead. You...

What Type of Boater are you?

We generally burn 3/4 tank of fuel for every outing. That gives us a pretty good day out on the water while having a reserve to make sure we get home. Occasionally we refill on the water and burn another 1/2 tank. I don't recall how big the tank is, I want to say 26 gallons. Since no cabin and...

Can you recommend a Cover maker in NJ?

I am seeking a snap on one piece combo cockpit cover / bow cover, a.k.a. mooring cover that snaps on so it can be on the boat in the water. The mooring covers with straps are only good on the trailer.

Can you recommend a Cover maker in NJ?

Thanks but.. I already have one of these and it's great if the boat is on the trailer. I want a snap on one in case I leave the boat in the water for any period of time. besides a cover being made, snaps would need to be located and added all around the boat and a pro would need to do it all...

VHF Fixed mount radio is a Standard Horizon Phantom PS1000 (a hide away blackbox VHF specifically designedfor vessels with limited mounting space.) I also carry a hand held Uniden MH120 as a spare. The GPS is a Garmin 276C color unit mounted on a RAM mount. I also had the dealer install a...

Nice ride! I recently got the same boat except red instead. Days ago we had it to Lake George in NY and I easily pulled a large tube with 2 Adults in it with no problem. Am happy with the boat entirely except for its one weakness and that is storage space. The aft seat storage should have...

Can you recommend a Cover maker in NJ?

Hi, I'm looking to have a snap on mooring cover made for my new 08 185 Sport and am looking for recommendations for a vendor in the central NJ area (+- 100 miles) who will do a quality job at a reasonable price? Any suggestions? THANKS! Ken
