Thanks Hans was that a rebuilt for 2500? I have been quoted at least 6k for brand new but 2300 for rebuilt with warranty form Merc. MasterFab thanks but the insurance company and B&E are taking care of it.

Went back to yard yesterday to watch them take the boat out of the water. The props definetly look like they ran into sand, the surveryor will do his inspection this week.

Thanks for all of the information, the quote so far is about 4k for a rebuilt from Merc, total cost with all of the labor and shaft and prop work is over 8k.

Has anyone had a recent ZF 63 tranny replaced in a 360 -390 sundancer? What did cost? Having to have mine replaced from a grounding.

Called the yard and they have included the following in the estimate so far; replace the tranny with a new rebuilt ZF from Merc with warranty (new new is double the price almost 7k), shaft turned and balanced, props removed scanned and balanced, and all the associated labor. Over 8k so far, WOW...

No other indications or alarms, it was the Bilge float switch getting stuck that drove me to go into the ER to check what was going on.

My levels were lower then that, I think as low as 1/4. Thanks again for the info the boat is at the dealer for winterization so they will let me know this week what the damage will be.
