Yeah, cabin fever is setting in up here already, so I'm going off-topic.
Little background, which should explain some of my car choices. I've worked on Euro cars most of my life and own a Euro/exotic shop in the Buffalo area.
My forever car. 2002 Audi Allroad Quattro 6-spd manual. Bought it in 2009 with 110k miles on it. 2.7L V6 twin-turbo. Over the years I've done quite a few mods to it. It's currently around 500/500 at the flywheel, has 225k miles on it. Heavy bastard, but still good for 13.0x 1/4 mile times, can tow 5k lbs, has adjustable air suspension, and is pretty comfy.
Couple of years ago in Ebensburg, PA picking up a Grizzly 700.
Couple of years ago on the pond behind the house
Next up is a 2001 Audi TT coupe. Florida car its whole life. Bought it in 2012. Had 60k miles on it at the time. 1.8L turbo 4, doing about 290hp.
1990 Audi Coupe Quattro. These are pretty scarce. Only came into the US in 90-91, all with a normally-aspirated 2.3L inline 5. This one now has a turbo on it, and a bunch of other supporting mods. Not too crazy. Doing 230/230 at the wheels. Lot of fun in the winter with some big knobby studded snows.
This one was pretty recent also. These mid-00's V12 twin turbo Benzes are ridiculous. Almost 600 lb-ft from the factory. My wife drives it most of the time in the Summer. Comes home a lot with "clubbing baby seals" stories about kids in Hondas and Subarus who never knew what hit em. Still on stock ECU tuning until I build the transmission a little stronger. Still good for low-12 quarter mile times on proper tires.
And finally we have this old reliable pile of crap. Actually, it's been perfect for what it is. 98 Durango. Previously owned by a customer of mine. He hadn't driven it for a year, his wife wanted it gone. I traded 8 hours of labor for it. Did some brake and exhaust work, and it just cranks on. I used it primarily to haul around my old 4 Winns before we stepped up. Sister in law drives it now. Not sure why it keeps running, but it does.
Anyway, that's the little stable. Nothing crazy, but some fun stuff.
