I do not think the tambour doors were an option...every Sea Ray of that era had those, on every brochure also.

"I have a 1988 390 with Chrome tambour doors throughout. I have a few that are in need of repair/replacement. Does anyone know where I might be able to locate these doors?? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!"

Why not do what Pietro did. I believe that he upgraded his out of bamboo floor mat.

I also did not have a key when I bought my 390 3 years ago. I removed the lock (not difficult) and dropped it off at Granite Lock in Quincy, Mass. 2 weeks later he called and said he was able to make a key for it. I said great please make an extra and I did not ask how much this was going to cost. 3 days later I stopped by to pick up the lock and 2 keys and was shocked when he told me how much. He said it was expensive, twenty five bucks for both keys. I shock his hand and gave nim $50 cash and told him to take his wife out to dinner. Just one of those rare cases when customer service came way before money. :smt001 Finding a replacement lock is almost impossible.

Thanks, I was hoping that a "drop in" replacement was available, I had heard that the keys were hard to come by and I hoped that someone had an alternative locking latch.

The keys are on eBay. Mine were stamped 14 and I found a vendor selling them. He also has blank ones u can cut. Two are $20
search
latch lock Skelton keys boat. The vendor is parts1d414.

Hope it helps
Saverio.

Thanks Saverio, now next time I'm at the boat I can see if I can find the key number.

You might have to remove lock hopefully it's inside stamped somewhere.
I need to remove my door soon the roller is dragging. I have to figure out how to remove that

rollers are adjustable, try that first. small phillips kind of in a recess on side of roller. lift the door to take the weight off the screw when adjusting.

Thanks have to look into that. I'm just thinking it's broken. I have to lift the door to slide it. It looks like the top teak rail was removed once before

The bottom rollers are plastic so if the door as not been repaired, it is likely that continued sliding has worn the stuck rollers flat on the bottom. They tend to freeze up if the drain channel isn't kept open on the bottom of the door.I am afraid your ownly fix is to remove the door and rebuild the roller assys. at the bottom.

A word of caution: that door is not only heavy, but is very cumbersome to handle. When you get the top track apart, be very very careful with the door as you lift it out. Have a protected place to lay it so you can work on the bottom edge. There are no more of those doors around and if you break one, the only fix is to have one custom fabricated and the last one I knew of someone making cost $3600.

I removed my door and replaced all of the rollers last year. I got all of the parts from a glass/door company. They seem to use the same rollers year after year for residential sliding patio doors.
