2013 NFL Playoff Predictions And Discussion.

Maybe, just maybe the camera is focused on him. Having been to many games, there are a lot of things going on at the sidelines that the camera could focus on if they so desire. Just like last week, when the head coach walked over to Ray when he came off the field on defense and told him to put his helmet back on and go out for the victory formation. That was the coach’s plan not Rays, and it had nothing to do with winning a game, but more of a tribute to Ray and the fans of Baltimore. I guess you would just have to live in Baltimore to realize all of the things that Ray, and the rest of the team does for the city of Baltimore. The Ravens represent the city of Baltimore well, and we are damn proud of them, all of them!

Save your breath Bill, you will never ever convince anybody outside of Baltimore what Ray Lewis has meant to this team and the city of Baltimore. Me and you live here and know how real it is.

In other NFL news, we won't have to witness the week long media slobberfest and ballwashing festival that would have been a Peyton / Brady AFC Championship game

GB played like a high school team last night. Drop a kickoff on the 10 yard line, leaving receivers wide open in mid field, allow the QB to run the ball at will.....come on!!! No part of GB's team showed up last night. D, O, and specialty teams all missed the game. I'm taking nothing away from San Fran as they played good, solid football.

+1 and thank God.

As for Ray Lewis, no offense intended toward Ravens fans, I will pull for Joe (U of D), and the team next year. After Lewis is gone. I'm sure what you say is true, he may be an outstanding citizen in the city of Baltimore. But in my world...Sorry, Don't want him in it.

<<SNIFF>> My Seahawks lost. <<SNIFF>>

They played a great game, another exiting game played to the end. I thought they had it there for a minute, but playing a soft zone with a minute to play two or three completions is usually all it takes.

Still I always am glad to for still having football in January while everyone else is watching the other guy trying to pick the scores by using the season stats. I know we will be the underdogs again this week, but that plays just fine by us.

Survive and advance, Hack and XRavenx. That was thrilling. Good thing John Fox of Denver didn't understand you can go from your 20 to a game winning field goal in less than 30 secs with 2 timeouts. Ravens did the Broncos a favor. Brady would have embarrassingly carved up the Broncos old, slow secondary.

Four very good football teams left. All with tough D's and bruising running games but not enough seperation in talent to have a clear favorite. My thoughts are it comes down to whose QB steps up and which team protects the football. Are kaepernick, flacco and ryan superbowl-caliber quaterbacks...we'll see. I personally would like to see Harbaugh vs. Harbaugh.

I don’t understand the logic of giving up with 35 seconds still on the clock either. I guess that one will be questioned for a long time. I was thinking we are going to let a game like this come down to a coin toss??? Very glad the ball exchanged hands several time before it was decided. Still if you attempt to move it down the field quickly you risk the interception that puts us in field goal range right away. Just like in OT! But that is the beauty of the game though! Strategy and execution, that’s what it comes down to.

it made no sense. if you are going to play to not lose, you deserve to go home. No timeouts, bad field conditions, bad field position, etc. I then could understand the decision. But in denver where 60 yard field goals are makeable and they didn't have to cover that much ground to get there. what, 30 yards maybe? With two TO's, they didn't even have to work the sidelines. if they were factoring in the possibility of a turnover in that situation, they shouldn't be paying 18 what they're paying 18.

I don’t know why Denver just sat on the ball; “playing not to lose” is just speculation on my part. I think I know a little about the game, but certainly cannot speculate on why or why not run the clock out. Those guys get paid the big bucks for that one, and as you can see from the off season for some teams, many have decided that coaching is one of the reasons they are not in the playoffs……. Philly comes to mind on that one, as well as others. Any way you look at it, I liked the call!

I don't expect many coaching errors for NE next weekend, but then again any “gifts” will be greatly appreciated!

Can you imagine if Kaepernick made the Superbowl and went off like he did on Saturday night? Stuff legends are made of. We need to concentrate on a solid Atlanta team first. Not a fan of being the first team favored as a visitor for the championship game. That's why I loved that EVERYONE chose Green Bay saturday!

We'll be at the game. If you are in the area, we'll be tailgating in Lot K and Belvedere Bloody Mary's will begin pouring about 10:30. Go Falcons!

So the best predictions here were by these guys:

All got 2 correct. Ken would have had 3 if he had just picked his 49ers instead of calling it a "toss up"

Bucit, AMFM3, GoFirstClass, and HUMPH. Congrats all. Now what have you done for me lately? Let's do it again for next week...

Season ticket holder (long time) and Atlanta native. Completely totally unbiased. Atlanta wins. Not sure I've heard of the other teams and can't fathom that anyone would care.

The reason you have not heard of the other teams is because you are not usually watching football in January!
