Running the Power & Ground.
Since the original spot used by SeaRay to run wires to the cabin power panel is now filled with Silicon Sealant, I had to find a new route. *** note to self, take pic and post ***
If you are in the Bilge looking at the portside, look up and underneath the sole, you will see daylight from the side vent, just forward and up from that you can see an opening which runs forwared along the portside behind the seating
Looking down into this area, you can see where the main power lines run from the Bilge...
... to the cabin
Its along this area that I will run the main power and ground lines to a distribution block. Depending on how I mount a sub in this area, I may put the Distribution block in side panel area. The available space behind the Cabin power panel is limited.
I did locate a great spot for the amps. I lose very little storage space and they are right there with the rest of the electronics
The second amp will go above this one, once I take out the shelf there.
To keep them cool, I plan on cutting vent holes in the backside of the cabinet so that it vents to the big open space there. So there will be several vent slots behind the amps. In addition, I will add standoffs so it each amp sits away from the back panel. Finally, I am going to cut a hole in the bottom face of the cabinet and mount a 12v fan. I have a couple of fans leftover from my last PC build. I just need to find the right decorative grill to keep it all clean looking
