It appears the TMP100 isn't set up correctly for the channels the EGT sensors are on. Did you follow section 6.29 in the DSM410 manual?Still little confused why I’m reading 32deg
I know the water temp has to be really cold. Can it be maybe the sensor is too deep and hitting the back wall of the elbow and is reading that temp?
When I had it set up at my house it was reading room temp with no issues.

I do have it set up correctly.
I have been just reading the data at idle and for a short ride.
when I feel the area where the probes are. it really is cool to the touch. once I shut down the temp starts to rise.
Will doIf sensors are Maretron, it could be bad sensors, maybe call Maretron. They have been pretty responsive to me in the past
You were correct. I had the wire flipped. I'm so use to putting the red wire on top I guess.I will assume you have done this, but you also have to program the TMP100 for the type of temp it is monitoring.
Also curious how and where you have the EGT probes installed. Even sitting at the dock you will see something close to or above 100F. Especially is you rev the engine(s) up for a bit.
But Again, 32 it lowest the TMP100 EGT channels will read. If the channel is active and no sensor is attached the you would see 32F or MAX reading (not sure what that is). You seeing 32 tells me you may have them connected wrong. There easy to mix up.
10* is nothing to worry about. There is a split between mine as well. Biggest issue is to make sure your not exceeding the max EGT temps, and once you get a baseline with a clean hull, you will notice higher temps slower speeds as you load the boat up. Could be more people/fuel or a dirty bottom. But you will have a much better understanding of how your engines are performing.I was getting a little concerned after idling for ten minutes at the dock there was a 10 deg difference in temps.
I'm going to try to go for a good run tomorrow.
I was reading another thread and came across this posting of EGT#'s for 3126. I have never seen this published by CAT, but for a reference. I have alway used the numbers in the Exh Mlfd Column, as it was my understanding based on a CAT publication that is the temp expected at the exit from the turbo. I do not know the origin of these.I'm going to adjust them and go for another ride. The seawater temp is about 56 right now.
My system monitor is the one with the leds and the test switchThis is from a newer 340 but may help. There is a cable that goes into the IPx module and that is where the RIM signals will be. Pretty much only bilge pumps and high water etc. will be usable from this. Looks like engine data will need to come from a 3rd party add on for the engine(s)/gen.
