Funny Story (not really)....
Emergency bilge alarm goes off when about 50 miles offshore.....come off of plane and lift hatch and look for water around engines and its dry....go down inside and lift floor boards and see lots of water sloshing around, along with booze, beers and dive gear!!

Something made me think to immediately taste the water and yes, it was fresh water!!

While cruising, original ShurFlo house water pump (circa 2000) decides to blow seals and drains about 50 gals of fresh water from the tank. I let the bilge pump get rid of most of it and sponged out the last bit.

When we got back, I already had the new pump in my garage because I knew that one day this would happen (but not in such a dramatic fashion).

All I needed was two 15mm Watts Aqualock hose barb fittings and about 12" of 1/2" water hose and done!

Better flow and better water pressure with new pump.

Haha, well at least it was only the fresh water tank; I am sure the alarm scared the crap out of you. Cleaner install than the original as well. I thought about carrying a spare, not sure it's really worth it though now that I am getting a new one.

Is the high water alarm/sound any different than low oil pressure/engine or trans overheating alarm? The one we hear when we turn the keys on. Asking how you knew "which alarm"?

On my 2000, the alarm is on the display, fwd bilge alarm iirc

Mine too...SeaRay Systems Monitor panel to the right of the helm. Audible alarm with readout telling you what it is. Screen on mine is so hazed that I can barely read it.

getting all those 90 degree turns out of your water feed is what likely improved the flow.

Agree..plus new pump is rated slightly higher volume (4gpm at 55psi) vs old pump (3.3gpm at 45psi)

Ok, I had this on the 330DA. I will take a look at mine this weekend.

Cabin entrance sliding doors are coming apart. Service guy says I need new rollers top and bottom. He has the Sea Ray #s, called Sea Ray, they do not support it anymore. Does anyone know where we can get these from?

+1 on Boat Outfitters. I repaired mine last spring and replaced the upper tracks there are 2 so ordered 41” and cut to size.
Boat Sliding Door Black Upper Track
SKU: 148-1164-41
I believe yours would be the same as mine so you would need 4 Boat Sliding Door Truck B - .975" Tall SKU: 016-1038
I also ordered Boat Sliding Door Hardware Kit with Black Flush Nuts SKU: 120-0002
I didn’t need to replace the bottom tracks or trucks but you may need to depending how worn out they are. There is more either on this thread or another with pics.

I noticed during our first cruise this weekend one engine was running about 5° cooler than the other, also noticed we had hot water once at the dock. I forget what it's called, is the hot water heated by one of the engines on this make and model? I meant to check in the engine compartment but got distracted and forgot.

The 5 degrees, if that’s from the gauges on the dash, that could be the accuracy in those. Mine show 10-15 difference, but when I installed gateways, the computers show them a couple degrees a part. 5 wouldn’t concern me much…

Since the water heater is in the cabin, most people don’t connect the engine heat loop through the fire wall. So typically, the water heater is only heated by 120 volts, which would be by dock power or genny….

I think she ran well, it feels like a heavy solid boat, handles the water well and stays on course.

I filled her up with fuel, 200 gallons. Cruised there at 2400 RPMs. Pushed her to 2800 on the way back. Ran well, port engine was only showing 2400 though, not sure if it was the tach or something else. Sync was showing they were equal, and it ran straight and strong. Did the ole finger tapping on the tach and that didn't change anything.

Head is cycling for about 5 seconds every hour , will probably just deal with it. Ball seal was replaced last week, no improvement. New fresh water pump, same one as @Gallf1, would trip the breaker after running continuous for about a minute while I was trying to flush all the pink antifreeze out.

Good to hear. Your pump cycling is likely the duck bills. Replace them in the vacuum pump.

Breaker may be undersized for the load. Verify new pump amp load VS old.

If you remove the gage panel and look at the back of the tach, there will be a screw on it that reads 4,6, 8 with an arrow head in the screw. turn the screw back and forth a few times and it will clean the electrical contacts inside the tach. Set the arrow to point at the correct no. and reattach the gage panel. that fixes the tach issue on gages for the gas boats 90% of the time. I am not sure about diesel but I would think that it is the same.

Does anyone know how to turn off the original Raymarine Auto Pilot and Depth/Speed indicator? The guy in the bottom center and then the auto pilot to port.

I have an "ACCY" switch at the helm that controls both my pilot and the tri-data display. It looks like your second switch from the right is in the on position. What's that one say on it?
