Official 380 Thread

If it is Sirius XM then no, not original, they started in 2008.
If it is bluetooth, probably not original, the first bluetooth car stereos were introduced in 2000 model year by Chrysler.
I would bet that this is not original to your 380.
It probably came from the factory with a Clarion AM/FM with cassette and a 6 disk CD changer, most Searay of that Size range and Vintage had that set up installed.
I was thinking the same regarding Sirius. I don't think that was offered in a head until until the mid 2000s. I remember having an external module in my truck in 2002 and then added a head unit with it in 2005. I noticed the two black knobs have been rubbing inside the cabinet as well, not something I think Sea Ray would have done.

It has Bluetooth thru AUX, I think something a previous owner added.

Yeah that’s what I thought.
I have a fusion Head unit mounted right under the chart plotter, so no stereo in the salon cabinet at all anymore.

Hi does anyone have a good list of thru-hull replacements for a late 2001, I went through and measured them all but it does not seem to line up correctly with the manual maybe my eyes are bad. I would like to replace all plastic thru-hull with the stainless one. If you have them saved in a shopping cart or written down somewhere I would be at your debt. TIA

If I recall there are a total of 14

5/8 - 4
3/4 - 2
1 1/8 - 4
1 1/2 - 4

At the time we did this, we found the chrome plastic ones didn’t have long enough stems and located ones with enough stem length thru searay-parts.com. (I don’t see them listed on their site anymore u may have to call them below are the code #’s) The 3/4 required a little massage for fit.

This is the set up that I have that eliminated the stereo in the salon cabinet totally. It’s all connected via NEMA2000.

To be clear none of the underwater thru hull fittings are plastic, correct? They were on my last boat, a Monterey, which I did not like.

@Mig22 and @Chris-380 I really appreciate you helping me out, so thankful for the great support from this group over the years! Also, I called Sea-Ray and they shared the drawing for the cut outs which I will share here as well for future value to help someone else out. If you have pics I would love to see the end result! Thank You!

You guys will get tied of me soon, as I learn this boat. Is this stock or a replacement? If a replacement is it a keeper?

That looks to be an update to the stock pro-tech. In fact you can see the screw hole for the old charger in the top right. It looks newer with the latest options and battery types and if it is getting the job done then you are good. I replaced mine with the 40 amp Promariner but that looks to be a worthy brand and replacement as well. I believe they are known for their inverters. Looks up the specs and see what you have!

The sliding cabin/cockpit entry door on mine is coming apart where the two doors meet. I assume this is a common problem? Any ideas for fixing it?

I'd like to buy some Boat Fender Hanger Adjuster Clips; does anyone know the rail diameter on the 2001 380?

Any issues with the Promariner 40 replacement? I'm doing mine tomorrow in a 2006 380

Mine is a 2001 but it was the perfect drop in replacement. I even validated the gauge wiring was fine. I originally bought the 1250 but found that I had to upgrade all of the wiring so sent it back and got the 40 instead. I would imagine your year is fine as well but you might just want to double check the gauge wiring that they used for the original charger and validate that size with the is in the promairner's manual. Finally the new charger has a temp probe that you want to mount to your "busiest" or house battery that it will check te temperature to make sure it does not over heat it. Make sure you take the time to run that and use corrugated wire wrap protection. I've seen a few boats that have the updated charger but for some reason they did not take the time to run the probe.

when I got my boat the door was in rough shape and after the first year with two teenagers it seems that many of the screws where missing and the door was completely coming apart. I spent an entire day replacing all of the screws or tightening them up and 5 years later all is fine. I think I had to order new screw plugs, i had to get them from a sea-ray dealer. if it is more then the screws there are a few posts in this that goes into detail on how to fix the door from the track perspective. Hope that helps.

Turned on the breaker for the freshwater system for the first time today, chasing down a leak, any suggestions? I can hear the water coming from the port side under the shower I think. It's filling up the bilge in front of the head door with water.

On sea-rays website you can download the schematic of the water system and identify all of the location of the fittings. Check all of the John guest style fittings as well. I have not had issues with the water-systems on mine as we always do indoor storage but that is where I would start if I had such an issue.

Does anyone know the size/diameter of the adapter for the holding tank pump out? I meant to measure before I left the boat today but I forgot.
