I'm curious...what do you mean by 'straight from Belgium'. Being that he never shot it was this something special he was able to commission direct from FN?
Prior to 1966 Browning manufactured all of it's shotguns in Belgium. Then they moved production to Japan. He actually never fired it because he found that he did not like the high receiver. That and he also quit hunting. He ordered the gun from Browning and they didn't have any stock so they assigned him a gun that was in production. Somewhere I have paperwork on the build, but it was not custom. It is a special gun, worth more than a modern day A 12 because the barrel is stamped with "made in Belgium".
