Correct. The OEM stainless flag staff is not stepped.@Shaps Thanks! So the OEM flagstaff wasn't stepped at the bottom to fit inside the smaller hole down there? So that's likely just a drain hole?
That'd make it all easier...

@ranger58sb I believe the OEM flag poles have a magnetic bottom to keep them seated. I have heard of folks losing aftermarket versions while underway. My boat didn't have the pole or mount so a few years ago I bought both OEM items from Marine Max.

I was one of those poor souls who purchased a Taylor Made flag pole for my 44DA, two weeks later it was lost to the deep on a windy rough day.
That's a good question! My production # is 58DB534, but I can't believe they made that many '06's! Sea Ray Customer Service could answer that...or maybe @Capt. Rusty Higgins might know...
Ours came off the line close together.my 2006 is DB 542

I was thinking the same thingI love this site! Thank you!
Has anyone recently had faux teak installed. I’m looking for a company that has the pattern already so I can just buy the materials and install it myself.

Cockpit, bridge, and maybe platformsYour thinking cockpit and bridge?
Our cockpit carpeting apparently disappeard some years ago... and I don't know that I want to do anything about that.
But our bridge carpet remains, is apparently original, and has all the issues with the crumbling black backing, etc. I've thought about faux teak on the bridge to semi-sorta-kinda match or complement the teak table top...
I know I can probably get Corinthian's carpet with their AquaLock backing -- that backing stuff seems to last forever -- but I dunno if I want to go that way or not...

Good pointOur platform is still suffering from brown "tea water" encountered during our trip north. The platform is so long, we get some wake-splash... especially running at slow speeds (as we often do). I dunno that faux teak would clean up much if exposed to that?
-Chris
I was surprised to find our bridge carpet has an aqualock type backing - not the crumbly black rubber. It apprears to be the original beige carpet...But our bridge carpet remains, is apparently original, and has all the issues with the crumbling black backing, etc.

Our boat has Aquatraction installed cockpit, stairs, bridge and fixed portion of the platform. We are quite happy with it.
It was done in Naples, was told they have the patterns if we need anything replaced.
