I just posted last night that prices went up .30 this week at my local station and 2 others I drove by last night were up .20 and .30

Well you are wrong. Gasoline prices move up and down for many reasons. But if you want to isolate all price movements to Biden then you need to be sure to give him credit for the next time they drop because the OPEC countries start fighting and increasing production. It’s ridiculous.

on the other hand in Canada I can definitely blame Trudeau for a portion of our higher gas prices and that is because there is a direct measurable carbon tax imbedded in our prices up here. I disagree with it but at least it’s transparent. But I don’t blame him for the rise and fall of gasoline prices due to global commodity prices moving or for big oil gouging around long weekends and trying to say it is natural supply and demand.

Trump and crew are racist. Not for developing sensible immigration policy but for a criminal deportation scheme, separating kids and their parents and locking them up, in cages. Disgusting. Driving through California and into Arizona each winter we would see thousands of workers out in the fields harvesting fruit and vegetables. They were doing the back-breaking work no American will do. Most of them illegal. After Trump, the farmers complained that they were forced to leave crops rotting in the fields. Trump blamed immigrants for all of America's problems, calling them all rapists and criminals. Ironic considering his history.

So that must be true, so he is the only one that never lied because he is not a politician. Unless he lied about being a politician. In which case every time he moved his lips he was lying.

I guess we need to look to the next most trustworthy group to help sort this out. The lawyers.

Canada has its own immigration issues, like all places. We are lucky to not have a wall needed with the US. That is because we are both democratic, freedome loving, fundamentally principled and good nations with a long history of liking eachother.

The US absolutely has to control immigration because it has other issues. It IS the land of opportunity, and there are proportionally more in the world that want a piece of that opportunity (in a good way). And there is a lot of desperation out there with really good people that love their families and will risk death to get them out of whatever shit hole they are in. And you can't take them all in. You need a process and you have a process. And it probably needs to be improved.

But, you must admit, that there is a very significant portion of the far right that want immigration stopped. And virtually every racist not only wants it stopped, they want it reversed. And neither is what America stands for. Unfortunately, Trumps political ambitions and tactic was to re-ignite the far right and the anti-immigration types that did not trust government, to trust in him. He was "cute" by his anti-immigrant rhetoric by putting his words right up against the line so he could "wink wink" to the extremists, while saying to the normal right that "that is not what I meant". It was all political tactics IMO. He probably doesn't actually have the far right views that the Dems think he does (remember he used to be a Democrat - and he wasn't stupid then either). But he absolutely wanted the far right to think he does. He woke up a right extremist mob and couldn't stuff the genie back in the bottle and didn't try.

Go reasearch the truth about US immigration. You're playing the immigration control = racist card. The reason illegal immigration is out of control in the USA is because the powers that be don't care about selling out their middle class constituents. The Democrats see them as future votes. The Republicrats see them as cheap labor that benefits business. The middle class see them as a threat because they keep doward pressure on their wages and use up government services (ie; see the public school systems). That doesn't make them racists, white supremisists, etc.

Actually, gas price move due to expectation. The expectation with Biden is "no more fossile fuels." With that policy, prices have nowhere to go but up. So every shut down of a fossile fuel facility with give the producers an "excuse" to raise prices even if it has little effect on supply/demand.

Kids and “handlers”. Many of those children were used to cross the border under the US guidelines. Plenty of those kids were/are also trafficked and raped. What a miserable life. No one likes to talk about that little nasty story. Also, some of the kids that are held, no parents come to claim them. However the MSM would have you believe the US just strips these kids from their families which is complete BS. Even under Obama.

Yeah, ok. Biden has been saying for over a year that he would be eliminating fossil fuels, which would obviously drive prices up. Gas prices around here haven't been this high in awhile. Coincidence that 2 days after Biden is sworn in gas prices jump almost 15%? After everyone in the country knew what his plan is and what the consequences would be.

I am not saying they may go up in future if there are taxes or other parts to the green deal. But it ain't today. Don't get me wrong. I drive a friggen 0.9 mpg vessel and I love doing it, and I hate high gas prices. And I hate politicians that use tree hugging and global warming fearmongering to hide raising taxes for other purposes (the Canadian liberal experience). I am just saying that it ain't 3 days into a new administration. Its just not the way gasoline prices work in the short term.
