Raymarine E127 and E125 w VV7
I've got my engine data on my MFDs and there was a write-up I think @ttmott put up on the forum somewhere about how to get the genset data onto the screens bit I didn't do that (yet)

Best I have handy

How was the transition from the original vessel view to the new one?

Plug and play except for generator info. You will need a Maretron converter and repair a cut “by sea ray” jumper wire and I think I remember having to cut the other jump wire. On genset board.

So will the maretron show you error codes?

Still need to sit and spend an hour getting it all set up RLynch on this forum has a pretty nice set up so I am going to copy his.

What about pre heat?

After getting the royal runaround, cummins tech support confirmed that holding down the stop button down on the remote panel will engage the prime/preheat circuit on the genset.

Still have to go down below to energize it, but that remote control panel is capable of that function.

So... if that is the case can you have a second “on/off” switch on this “looped” control circuit? That would solve the “alarm” issue from the helm, you would just depress the off and it would be eliminated.

Great question!
Will try again with tech support

I am thinking this as it gives me some more control than just viewing.

A couple of us have the Onan Remote panel. I do like it. I mounted it in the salon (same as Jeremy) so while hanging in the cabin overnight it is easy to check the status of the gen. If money was no object i might add another one at the helm. I wanted to tie in with a Maretron interface and N2k however I also wanted to display the run hours (my hour meter display has failed) and I understand the Maretron setup will not pull the hours.

I did purchase the extra harness and ran it back to the generator to tie in. I get no alarms when shutting down.

What does your hour meter look like that failed? Does this digital display so hours?

The below little display is mounted on the Generator. Most numbers do not show anymore. I understand if I replace it will start back at zero.

The Onan Remote display does show the hours.

Thats the same design I had on my old boat. When it failed I bought a new one and hooked it up on my bench 12V power supply and let it run until it caught up to where I wanted it. Then I installed it.
