Another newbie question but since SR rebadges hulls for different model years I'm curious if the 2002 380 is similar/exact hull as the 98/97 400. I am assuming its different. If so, major differences between the 2 hulls, layout, design, etc. Looks like the 380 also comes with Cat diesels as well.
Guess I am wondering if i should keep my search for a 98/99 400 or look at a 2002 380....This is what winter does to me.
I think you'll find the 380s with diesels often cost as much or more than a 400 with the same engines but a year or two older. Diesel powered 380s are a rare bird
Other differences are the previously stated smaller size overall and the 400/410 has an extra head in the aft stateroom. I think the 380 also lacks a hard pocket door for the aft? Not positive on that though
The 380 is a good boat but if you're looking for diesel I'd stick to the 400/410 in your search. I started to look at the newer 42/44's when I was shopping because I liked the hardtop but those are still quite a bit more. 400/410 seems to be in the sweet spot.
